The final meeting the Jana Setha Peramuna in the run-up to the presidential election, was held in Malabe on Monday under the auspices of Presidential Candidate, Venerable Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero.

Addressing the gathering, the Venerable Thero said that the country has become a breeding ground for thugs due to the presence of ethanol and drugs .

He added that the ministers have no backbone, because they are not allowed to carry out duties independently.
