Campaign offices of the United People’s Freedom Alliance and the New Democratic Front were declared open in Kalutara on Saturday ahead of the Presidential Poll.

A campaign office to support Presidential Candidate, Mahinda Rajapaksa was declared open on Saturday in Heenatiyangala, Kalutara South under the auspices of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena.

Minister of Ports and Highways, Rohitha Abeygunawardena said:
The Manifesto of Sirisena speaks of a Singapore model. That is astounding. Singapore is a country where you see taxes when you wake up, and go to bed. Look at the materials – clothing from India and a policy from Singapore. Come tomorrow, it might be Obama’s pants.
The Campaign Office of New Democratic Front Presidential Candidate Maithripala Sirisena was declared open in Kalutara South, under the auspices of Dr.Rajitha Senaratne who commented on future plans.

MP, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne shared these views:
When you take a look at the social reforms and public betterment of this country, I do not think there has ever been such an attractive manifesto in the history of this country. This suits all. We have also published a separate book. That will be presented to the intellectuals. In Parliament the UPFA will be cornered and we will be together with the rest. We will all come together and form a two year government. We will change this political culture that is prevalent in the country.
