Circuit Colombo 2014, a digital marketing conference, was held in Colombo on Thursday.
Discussions on digital marketing were held with the participation of several speakers from digital powerhouses such as Google, Facebook and Xaxis.
The panel discussion on “What’s next in Digital?” evaluated the receptiveness of the relatively conservative Sri Lankan audience and explored both, a forecast for digital media in Sri Lanka as well as how communications teams can best exploit these trends.
Leader of Mindshare – South Asian Region, Ravi Rao expressed these views;
“Digital is something that is really transforming the entire industry in so many ways, the technology, the consumer behaviour ,to everything is changing rapidly even in Sri Lanka. Look at the country which has got the highest penetration of mobile phones across south Asia, and here is a country that has got 4G working in a real speed and no wonder digital becomes much more critical.”
