The conducting of tuition classes, seminars and workshops for the G.C.E Ordinary Level students has been prohibited with effect from midnight Wednesday until December 18.
Speaking to News1st,Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J Pushpakumara stated that the prohibition came into effect further to the gazzette notification that was issued on June 21, 2014.
The conducting of seminars related to a G.C.E. O/L subject, the distribution of model question papers, the erection of banners and posters stating that model question papers will be distributed, the distribution of leaflets and handbills and publishing such activities through the use of print or electronic media have also been prohibited.
The Commissioner General also requested the public to inform the police, the Police Headquarters or the Examinations Department in the event the gazette notification is not adhered to.
