A group of representatives of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress met with President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees on Saturday evening. Issuing a communique, the Presidential Media Unit stated that the current political situation was taken up for discussion at the meeting.
The communique also added that the group discussed their future plans with the President.
The group of SLMC representatives included the Leader of the Party, Minister Rauf Hakeem, General Secretary MP Hassan Ali and Deputy General Secretary Nisham Kariyappar.
