Minister Rajitha Senaratne attended an event held at the National Aquaculture Development Authority before attending the special media briefing in Colombo on Friday.
World Fisheries Day was marked today under the auspices of Minister Rajitha Senaratne.
Minister Rajitha Senaratne expressed the following views:
I do not come from his generation because if someone tries to grab my neck, I will grab his neck first. This is how I have journeyed for the past 40 years, how else would I have come? When they ousted Mubarak he did not know why he was ousted. There was no leader. There was no organisation. He was informed by SMS and e-mail that he was ousted. I have never made a decision for my own benefit. That is not why I entered politics. I have earned a lot of money, I have established companies and earned millions and have given it to parties. I have given up all of these to enter a new chapter and in this chapter we have to save the country before we die. We will not entrust the state in this way to the next generation. We will forge ahead. May you be victorious.
