The army notes that 256 persons from 78 families that were displaced by the Koslanda landslide tragedy will be settled in temporary houses today.
Major General Mano Perera said that these persons will be directed to temporary houses built in a tea factory at the Ampitikanda area in Poonagala.
One thousand one hundred and ninety two (1192) persons who were displaced by the Meeriyabedda landslides are being sheltered at four camps for the displaced in Poonagala. Major General Mano Perera also said that 78 families who were displaced by the landslides will be given permanent houses in the near future.
