Residents who live in the upper section of Leonard Estate in Ragala have been temporarily relocated to the Reception Hall of the Medawatte Kovil in Ragala.

They were evacuated a day after the landslide occurred in Meeriyabedda, Koslanda. However, they have been requested to leave the hall because a function has been scheduled to take place on Saturday.

It is learnt that upon such short notice issued by officials,  these displaced persons have been left with no other option but to return to their homes.
