According to the Badulla Government Agent, the number of persons missing owing to the Koslanda landslide that occurred on Wednesday morning has risen to nearly 300, while the number of bodies discovered has risen to 8.
The Badulla GA added that 150 houses have been buried following the landslide.
The DMC stated that three bodies were discovered in the rubble while three individuals were rescued and are currently receiving treatment at the Bandarawela Hospital.
