Archbishops from Rome to take part in Madu feast

The annual feast of the Madu Shrine will be held on Friday. A group of Archbishops from Rome is due to arrive in the country to take part in this holy annual event.

The Railways Department added that a special train service will be in place for the devotees visiting the Madu Church.

A special train will leave the Negombo Railway station at 8 a.m.  The department added that a special train will leave Madu at 3 p.m. the following evening for Negombo.

The Railways Department added that a special rail-bus service will also operate from Medawachichiya to Madu.
