Four-year old Dinidu Yasen Lankanath grabbed the attention of the whole country recently, when he was kidnapped by a group who attacked his parents and abducted him from his house in Galgamuwa last Month.
Through extensive investigations, the Criminal Investigations Department was able to rescue the child and return him back to his parents on August 1. The CID also arrested the suspects connected to the kidnapping.
Little Dinidu Yasen, who survived the great ordeal, met His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on August 3 along with his parents.
President Rajapaksa who inquired into the well being of Dinidu, presented him with a gift.
First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was also present at the event, along with Inspector General of Police, N.K. Illangakoon.
