Police have commenced investigations into the alleged strangling of an individual in Galpatha, Kalutara.

According to the Police Media Unit  the victim is a forty-nine-year-old resident of Galpatha.Police added that a twenty-seven-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The body of the victim has now been placed in the mortuary at the Galpatha Hospital and the postmortem investigation is scheduled for Friday.The police meanwhile noted that investigations also revealed that the alleged murder was as a result of a  personal altercation.
