The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says that refined fuel being pumped from the sea into the Muthurajawela fuel storage facility has been temporarily halted due to a fault in the pipeline.
CPC Managing Director Susantha De Silva, responding to queries made by News 1st, said that the pumping of refined fuel has been halted since 4 a.m. Friday.
He noted that restoration work is currently underway.
De Silva, however, allayed fears that there would be a fuel shortage as a result of the repair work.
