NCPA to keep a keen eye on foreigners with “questionable intent”

The National Child Protection Authority has put into action a new programme to clamp down on the arrival of foreigners intent on child abuse.

According to authority’s Chairperson, Attorney Anoma Dissanayake, this programme is an internationally-networked operation.Dissanayake added that the programme has succeeded in barring the entry of such foreigners into the country in recent times.

She also explained that parents must take extra precautions to protect their children from potential child abusers who approach children through various means.
