Police say they have recorded statements from three independent witnesses pertaining to the death of an individual in Pasyala following a police shooting.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said the current progress in the investigation will be produced in court on Monday.

A resident of Kithulwala, Subash Indika Jayasinghe, was killed in the police shooting. SSP Rohana said that further steps with this regard will be taken following facts revealed in court.
