The upcountry railway services have resumed.

The Railway Control Room said that a train travelled to Badulla, at 5.55 a.m. today.

On May 29 train services between Bandarawela and Badulla were halted due to the threat of landslides.

The Control Room also said that three trains that were halted at the Badulla Train Station due to the threat of landslides travelled to Bandarawela on Saturday night.

The trains are due to travel to Colombo on Sunday.
