The Ministry of Transport says that a committee has been appointed to look into the train timetables.
Minister of Transport Kumara Welgama said the committee will look in to how they can best make the trains reach their destinations on time.
The minister further said the committee will submit its report on Monday.
Speaking further, the minister said that solutions will be given to all issues pertaining to trains within two weeks.
Minister Welgama said that they have come to an agreement to operate trains and to provide efficient service to commuters, regardless of issues that arise.
