The Train Control Room says that train operations on the Puttalam route  will be limited  on Saturday from 9.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Sunday.

This limitation is a result of maintenance work done on the railway track between Seeduwa and Katunayake.

Therefore, the Train Control Room states that trains will only be operated from Colombo Fort to Ja-ela and from Negombo to Chilaw.

This step has been taken due to the conversion of the rail route from Seeduwa to Katunayake from a single to a double route.
