The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team stated that they have managed to de-activate around 170 replicated accounts maintained on the popular social media website Facebook; since the beginning of this year.
The Senior IT Engineer of the team, Roshan Chandrasena stated that 250 complaints were received against discrepancies related to Facebook.
He added that 80 of the complaints received were filed against replicated accounts.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team requested the public to lodge complaints related to such discrepancies via the hotline number 011-2-691691.
