Attorney-at-Law Susara Dinal, who is contesting for the United Peoples Freedom Alliance for the Western Province, participated at a meeting in Minuwangoda on Saturday.

“The first thing that the Honourable Minister Basil Rajapaksa — our district leader — told me was that I must contest from this particular district,” Dinal said at the meeting. “People in this district know me. They know me by name. Except for the Chief Minister and Minister Lansa, everyone else in the district knows me. Therefore, I was advised to begin my election campaign here. He said that I will be given a good seat in the future. And till then I was advised to contest and increase the number of votes for the party. He advised me to conduct a very good national campaign. Therefore, we hope to broaden the campaign in a way that will benefit villages and everyone else. And what I want to tell everybody is that at the upcoming provincial council elections, cast your votes carefully and after much thought.”

The meeting was held in the Peellawatte area in Minuwangoda.
