Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 72 runs in their second match of the Asia Cup at Fatullah Stadium in Bangladesh.

The youngest team in cricket,  the Afghan team only managed to score 176 losing all the wickets in 47.2 overs.

Earlier  Umar Akmal  scored an unbeaten century for Pakistan which gave them a fighting total of 248.

Akmal , who displayed an excellent batting skills put up the ton in  just 89 balls, which included seven fours and three sixes.

Afghanistan bowlers stunned Asian power house Pakistan with their bowling and fielding skill at beginning but the dead lock was later broken by Ajmal.

Dawlat Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf and Samiullah Shenwari claimed two wickets each for Afghanistan. Batting in reply, Afghanistan were bowled out for 176 and defeated by 72 runs.

Mohammad Hafeez took three wickets for Pakistan, while Ajmal and Umar Gul took two wickets each and ensured victory.
