A person has been bound and killed in a house along Sapumal Mawatha in Gangodavila, Nugegoda.

The police said that the alleged murder took place at around 11 p.m. Sunday. The victim who was a 60 year old, had been the resident of the house.

The body is currently kept in the house under police protection. The  magisterial inquest and postmortem examination is to be conducted on Sunday.

The Mirihana Police are carrying out further investigations into the murder.
