Rajitha to leave for India to discuss release of Lankan fishermen

Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Rajitha Senaratne is to leave for India to discuss the release of Sri Lankan fishermen who in the custody of Indian maritime authorities.

At present there are 212 fishermen and 40 vessels in Indian custody. Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Nimal Hettiarachchi said that a group including the minister himself will be leaving to India on Tuesday.
