Muslims the world over, mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad today.

Prophet Muhammad  was born in the Arabian city of Mecca in the year 571 AD.

Prophet Muhammad  was born in the month of Rabi-ul-Ammal to Aminah and Abdullah.

Hazrath Abdullah passed away before Muhammad  was born and was taken under the care of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib. His mother passed away when he was only six years old.

During his youth,  Prophet Muhammad  was well known for his honesty as many called him Al-Ameen, the trustworthy and As-Saadiq, the truthful.

After the demise of his grandfather he was taken under the care of his uncle Abu Talib and used to go to the desert to watch over flocks and travelled across lands.

When Prophet Muhammad  was forty years old he began to retire to the cave of Hira, located away from Mecca, in which he was granted prophethood.

Subsequently,  he began to preach Islam and the oneness of Allah and the good ways living.
