The Presidential Commission to investigate complaints regarding missing persons has received 10,500 complaints regarding disappearances. Secretary of the Commission, H.W. Gunadasa said that amongst them are 6,517 civilians.
He said that parents and relatives of 4,307 members of security forces had lodged complaints in this regard. Meanwhile, the Presidential Commission Investigating Cases of Missing Persons has extended its deadline to accept complaints.
Accordingly, complaints can be lodged until December 31. H.W. Gunadasa said that complaints can be sent by post to 9/8, Suranimal Place, Colombo. 06. He also noted that complaints could be faxed to 0112 199 944
