Officers of the Consumer Affairs Authority have seized three containers containing expired consumer goods in a storage facility in Ja-Ela
Chairman of the Authority, Rumy Marzook said that a large quantity of expired Bombay onions, potatoes, meat and vegetable were found in these containers. Eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident and legal action is to be initiated.
Meanwhile, officers of the CAA raided a storage facility in Slave Island. This raid was conducted based on a complaint received from residents that operations at the facility which was sealed on have resumed.
