Wigneswaran says govt. funds insufficient to solve problems in Northern Province

The first budget of the North Province Pradeshiya Sabha was presented on Tuesday.

Speaking at the budget meeting convened, Chief Minister of  the Northern Province, C.V. Wigneswaran said that even though the government has allocated a large sum in the national budget to all industries, only a small amount of funds has been left over for the Northern Province.

C.V. Wigneswaran said that it is inevitable to request funds from foreign nations to resolve the problems in the Northern Province.

The Chief minister of the North Province said that he trusts the government would not object in the obtaining of these foreign funds.
