Six Lankan fishermen in Indian custody

The Indian Coast Guard has arrested six Sri Lankan fishermen.

 The Ministry of Fisheries said the fishermen were arrested on Monday evening for violating the Indian maritime border, along with their boat.  The Ministry added the fishermen had set out to sea from Trincomalee on November 22.

 Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed that another 166 Sri Lankan fishermen are currently under arrest in  India..  It further said that 31 vessels remain under Indian custody along with the fishermen.
