A motorcyclist who entered the Southern Expressway illegally has been injured after colliding with a van on Sunday morning. Police said that the motorcyclist had travelled towards Galle in the lane meant for highway authorities to travel towards Colombo.

According to police the motorcyclist had traveled about two kilometers towards Galle when it collided with an oncoming van that was travelling towards Colombo.

The injured motorcyclist who is a resident of the Dharga area in Aluthgama is currently receiving treatment at the Kalutara – Nagoda hospital.
