Another phase of the Newsfirst U-Report Workshop took place on Sunday centering Hambantota.

This edition of the Newsfirst U-Report Worldshop was held at the Tangalle Divisional Secretariat. Persons who signed up for the Newsfirst U-Report Citizen Journalism Initiative from Hambantota attended the workshop.

This is the fifth district level workshop organised for Newsfirst U-Reporters, highlighting the importance of Citizen Journalism. Over one hundred persons from the Hambantota District signed up at today’s workshop. The Newsfirst team provided the participants with an indepth and detailed understanding on Citizen Journalism.

The Newsfirst team also educated the participants on news reporting and its values.
