Newsfirst received exclusive footage from our ureporter from Kamburupitiya, Sumith Kodagoda, regarding the main suspect of the Kamburupitiya brutal double murder being killed in a shoot-out with the police.

The chief suspect wanted in connection with the double murder of a police officer and his wife in Kamburupitiya was killed in a shoot-out with the police early Friday morning.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana stated that the suspect had opened fire at the police when they had arrived to look for a hidden weapon. SSP Rohana stated that the suspect had died in the fire-fight that followed thereafter.
