The Department of Registration of Persons says that about three hundred and twenty five thousand (325,000) IDs have been issued for the students who are to sit for the Ordinary Level Exams this December.
The Commissioner General of the Department, R.M.S Sarath Kumara says that due to certain difficulties faced by the Department of Registration of Persons, the issues pertaining to the O/L IDs were delayed and that these issues will be solved soon.
The Commissioner General further stated,
“The issuing of IDs for the students sitting for the O/L exams are currently taking place. We have issued about 325,000 IDs so far. Another 25,000 IDs need to be issued. This is being looked into but the process is still not complete. Steps will be taken to issue these IDs to the students as soon as possible.”
