Ex-SIS Chief Moved to Court On Easter Attacks Case

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former Director of the State Intelligence Service, Suresh Salley, has been brought to the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court to be produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate, in connection with the alleged misdirection of investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks,

The case against Former Director of the State Intelligence Service, Suresh Salley, and two other suspects is scheduled to be taken up today before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Isuru Netthikumara.

The suspect Suresh Salley is currently being questioned under a 90-day detention order, while the two other suspects in the case remain in remand custody.

At the previous court hearing, the Colombo Fort Magistrate had instructed investigating officers that although the suspect Suresh Salley was being detained under a detention order, he must be produced before an open court for judicial proceedings.

In line with that court directive, the former State Intelligence Service Director is scheduled to be produced before court today.
