COLOMBO (News 1st); The Commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Amir Hatami, has warned that the United States and Israel will carry what he described as their futile efforts to subjugate the Iranian nation “to their graves.”

Speaking on Thursday at a ceremonial event welcoming the crew of the Dena destroyer, General Hatami described the vessel as a powerful symbol of Iranian resistance against what he termed American brutality in the Persian Gulf. He praised the steadfast resolve of Iran’s armed forces and the Iranian people.

Hatami said that countless individuals, including himself, had sacrificed everything for the nation, its people, and every inch of Iranian territory.

He declared that the belief among Iran’s adversaries that the country could be forced into submission would ultimately be buried, asserting that Iran would continue to make every effort necessary to defend what he called its sacred homeland.

The senior military commander highlighted the continuous public presence of millions of Iranians in the streets, saying they have shown clear unity and support for the country’s leadership. He described this public stance as a powerful demonstration of national solidarity behind the Islamic Republic.

General Hatami also stated that the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had intensified the resolve of the Iranian people to confront what he described as US and Israeli aggression on all fronts. He said Iran’s enemies mistakenly believed that killing the leader of the Islamic Revolution would weaken the country, adding that since that moment millions of Iranians have continued to carry the national flag day and night for more than forty days.

Delivering a warning to potential adversaries, General Hatami said Iran’s senior military commanders have issued clear instructions to the armed forces, stating that if the United States were to attempt even a limited ground invasion, no enemy soldier would remain alive on Iranian soil.

Hatami warned that any miscalculation by Washington or Tel Aviv would be met with overwhelming resistance.
