Fatal Boat Collision and Drowning Accident Claim Lives of Two Individuals

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Police confirmed the death of a man, following a collision between two fishing boats off the Pesalai sea area. 

According to Police, the accident occured when a vessel returning to shore had collided with another vessel heading out to sea.

The deceased, a 54-year-old resident of Pesalai, had passed away after falling into the sea during the impact.

In a separate incident, another individual has drowned while bathing in the Kelani River.

The Police stated that the individual was swimming with a group of relatives when he was swept away.

The victim has been identified as a 46-year-old resident of Hatton.
