COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) has urged the public to exercise caution when transferring money online for disaster relief.
Senior Technical Engineer Charuka Damunupola said authorities have taken steps to shut down several fake websites that were defrauding people of relief funds.
He also warned the public not to be misled by fraudulent messages on their phones claiming they have won prizes during the festive season.
