14 Indian Fishermen Arrested in Sea of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); 14 Indian fishermen were apprehended on Sunday (9) along with their fishing vessel while allegedly engaging in illegal fishing activities within Sri Lankan territorial waters in the northern seas.
The Sri Lanka Navy confirmed that the group was intercepted while violating maritime boundaries and fishing regulations.
The arrested individuals are expected to be handed over to the Jaffna Fisheries Department Office for further legal proceedings.
