COLOMBO (News 1st); The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has ordered the dismissal of three writ petitions that were filed seeking to invalidate a Colombo High Court order that froze the financial assets of family members of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The petitions were filed by Rambukwella’s family members.
The freeze was initiated by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), as part of an ongoing investigation.
After reviewing the preliminary submissions, a three-member Supreme Court bench led by Justice Janak de Silva dismissed the petition.
