Fatal Impact: Kuliyapitiya Man Dies in Central Expressway Crash

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tragic road accident near the 69th kilometer post of the Central Expressway has claimed the life of a 55-year-old man from Kuliyapitiya, police confirmed.

The incident occurred when a motorcar collided with the rear of a lorry, resulting in a fatal impact. The deceased was traveling in the car at the time of the crash.

Two other passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries and have been admitted to hospital for treatment, according to police sources.

Authorities have taken the lorry driver into custody as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
