Suspected Drug Vessel Captured by Sri Lanka Navy

COLOMBO (News 1st); A multi-day fishing vessel suspected of transporting narcotics was intercepted by the Sri Lanka Navy in international waters south of the island, according to Navy Spokesperson Commander Buddhika Sampath.

The operation led to the apprehension of five crew members aboard the vessel.

The vessel is currently being escorted to the Galle Harbour for further investigation.
