Supplementary Estimate for Transport Ministry to Be Tabled Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Dr. Prasanna Gunasena announced that a supplementary estimate amounting to Rs. 36.609 Billion will be presented to Parliament today to cover the ministry’s expenditure head.

He noted that the funds, allocated under three unutilized budget heads, will also be used to repay part of the loans previously obtained by the Road Development Authority (RDA), which currently holds a debt of Rs. 310.6 billion.
