COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) celebrates its 74th anniversary today (1), commemorating decades of influence in the island’s political landscape.
Founded on this day in 1951 by S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, the SLFP emerged as a centrist force, shaping national policy and political discourse for generations.
Today’s anniversary celebration will take place at the party headquarters, kicking off at 1 PM, with party leaders, members, and supporters expected to attend.
