Non-Standard Education Degrees No Longer Valid for Teacher Recruitment – Education Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Education has announced that individuals holding education degrees that do not meet required standards will no longer be recruited into the teaching service.

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Madura Seneviratne, says that a special committee had been appointed to evaluate the standards of education degrees offered by private universities.

He emphasized that only degrees meeting national standards would be considered valid for teacher appointments in the future.
