25 Injured in Collision Between Bus and Tipper Near Minneriya-Batuoya Bridge

COLOMBO (News 1st): At least 25 people have been injured in a collision between a bus and a tipper truck near the Minneriya–Batuoya bridge early this morning.

Police stated that the accident occurred around 3 a.m. when a bus traveling from Maduru Oya to Colombo collided with a tipper truck.

Among the injured are both drivers of the bus and the tipper.

According to police, the injured were admitted to the Polonnaruwa and Habarana hospitals for treatment. 

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
