Suspect Arrested Over Sahaspura Shooting That Left One Dead, Four Injured

COLOMBO(News 1st): A suspect accused of aiding and abetting the recent shooting in Sahaspura, Borella, has been arrested.

Police said the 33-year-old suspect, a resident of Sahaspura, was taken into custody.

The incident occurred last night at the Sahaspura stadium during preparations for a cricket match, leaving one person dead and four others injured. 

The victim has been identified as a 23-year-old resident of Kelaniya.

The injured were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, with one individual currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to police, two assailants arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire, and fled the scene.
