Midigama Chuti’s Associate 'Midigama Sahan' Detained For Questioning

COLOMBO (News 1st); A member of an organized criminal gang, Hikkaduwa Liyanage Sahan Sisikalum, also known as Midigama Sahan will be detained and interrogated until August 4.

This decision was made following his presentation before the Mathugama Magistrate’s Court today (29).

Police stated that further investigations will proceed based on information revealed by the suspect.

He was arrested yesterday (28) at the arrival terminal of the Katunayake Airport while returning to Sri Lanka from India.

The suspect, a 31-year-old resident of the Weligama area, is reportedly involved in multiple crimes including murder and robbery.

Police further revealed that the suspect is an associate of the notorious organized criminal known as “Midigama Chuti.”
