COLOMBO (News 1st): The report compiled by the five-member committee appointed to investigate the recent death of a student at Sabaragamuwa University has been handed over to the Vice-Chancellor.
Vice-Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University, Professor Sunil Shantha, says the report will be presented to the University Grants Commission (UGC) next week.
He added that the UGC will disclose the findings related to the death of the student from the Faculty of Technology .
A member of the committee stated that around 70 statements were recorded from students in connection with the incident.
According to the committee, over 150 hours of testimonies were obtained, along with oral and written statements, videos, photographs, and social media content.
