Mohanlal Meets Bimal Jayakodi in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); South Indian cinema legend Mohanlal is currently in Sri Lanka for the much-anticipated shooting of Dharmayuddhaya 2, a sequel that promises to elevate the benchmark set by the original. 

During his stay, the Padma Bhushan awardee met with one of Sri Lanka’s finest actors, Bimal Jayakodi, at the iconic Galle Face Hotel in Colombo—an interaction that lit up the local film community.

"During the Dharmayuddhaya 2 filming, meeting Mohanlal - the lead actor of the Malayalam movie Drishyam and Indian superstar - was one of life's most precious moments. Mohanlal, who has ruled Indian cinema for over four decades with more than 400 films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, extended his heartfelt wishes to Bimal and the Sri Lankan team for this new cinematic journey. The two actors, known for their intense on-screen personas, shared a warm exchange about the evolving power of South Asian storytelling.

Adding to the excitement, Mohanlal also hinted that Drishyam 3 is in the works and will be finalized by the end of this year—news that sent a wave of joy across fans worldwide.
