COLOMBO (News 1st); As Poson Poya approaches, health authorities in Sri Lanka are urging the public to exercise special caution when organising "Dansals" in line with the upcoming Poson poya day.
The Public Health Inspectors’ Association has requested the public to be particularly mindful about water quality used for food preparation, as the recent heavy rains have contaminated many natural water sources across the island.
In addition, the Association advises organisers to avoid creating large gatherings, citing the risk of spreading various illnesses that are currently circulating in the community.
