Duminda Remanded Again Over Gold-Colored T-56

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake and three other suspects have been remanded until June 19, following their appearance before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court earlier today (5).

The suspects are facing charges related to the discovery of a gold-colored T-56 assault rifle found in a luxury apartment complex in Wellawatte.

The arrest of Dissanayake was carried out by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) on May 23, 2025, as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal firearms possession.
